Tom Martin singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist and owner of the Tower of Song Bar in Birmingham, originates from Ireland, as some of his songs such as Northern Queen, The Darkening, Dockland, Cave, and My Father’s Ring will testify.
Writing from the premise that s song should be strong enough, to work as a solo or a band performance he demonstrates this when performing with his own band, enveloping his own husky vocal with soulful, bluesy guitar
Tom is a committed and dynamic live performer, a skilful songwriter and explores a wide range of ‘Roots’ music styles. He performs as an accomplished guitarist with stints on mandolin or piano, drawing on his experiences touring the Honky Tonks in the USA. His style is unique but will be appreciated by country-blues-rock fans as well as his fathfull following. His Albums include,
‘Pulling Strings’, a solo live concert CD.
‘Old Stones’, with the Tom Martin Band.
‘Outsiders’, Tom Martin & Sam Cornwell Band.
‘ Richmond Hill’, Solo Tom Martin CD
‘Temporary Identity’
Following his tour of America Tom returned to the UK and has spent the last 2-3 years developing a vibrant Café Bar in Birmingham. The Tower of Song 107 Pershore Road South Cotteridge, Birmingham B30 3JX Tel 0121 6281275 www.towerofsong.co.uk
