Gŵyl Ifan, 24 - 26 June 2016

Gŵyl Ifan is a festival that celebrates traditional folk dancing, primarily from Wales but also other European countries. It is an annual festival, which attracts dancers from all of Wales to entertain the public with traditional dancing, colourful costumes, lively music and traditions. This year we welcome dance teams and dancers from all over Wales, France and Holland.

Gŵyl Ifan is held over the mid-summer weekend festival of St John,which this year will be 24 - 26th of June 2016.

Friday night, 24th June: Twmpath (or barn dance) at the Angel Hotel, Cardiff, 8pm. Members
of the public welcome. £7 in advance, or £8 on the door.

Saturday 25th June 2016: Procession from the Angel Hotel, with dance performances along the way. The summer pole will be raised in front of City Hall and further dancing will take place at the Museum of Welsh Life, St Fagans throughout the afternoon.
